what are the possibilities?

We humans are ever evolving.  It began with the big bang, then to the single celled micro-organism, to hanging from trees, and to what we are now.  Of course, this is the Reader's Digest version, but I think you get the point.  For some reason there is the unconscious belief in the collective consciousness that evolution has coming to its final resting place in us humans.  Other than becoming kinder and gentler animals with more technological toys to play with, this is as good as it gets!  What I would like to hear from you all is where you think we are headed?  Have we peaked or is there more to look forward too?  Now, please don't give me some cookie cutter, canned new-agee response like, "to infinity" or to "heaven on earth" or to "unity in diversity" or some other thing you read from the shelves of your corner bookstore.  What I would like to read, is what you "know" personally?  What have you "experienced" personally?  And where do you think or feel or intuit these experiences are taking or leading you?  Thank you for your responses!  They are greatly appreciated!
